Why am I being asked to enter a monthly agreement maximum?
By setting up this agreement, you are authorising Pet Software to take payments from your credit / debit card or from your Paypal account on a monthly basis (you can cancel at any time). The minimum charge to use
If you expect your pet sitting business to grow, selecting a higher maximum will enable us to upgrade you to the next licence band automatically. If you set a maximum that is equivalent of your current licence band, we will need to ask you for further authorisation before we upgrade you to the next licence band. To avoid this, please set a higher maximum.
Your payment to us will only ever reflect your usage of the software based on the number of pet sitters you scheduled in the month immediately prior to your current bill.
Example 1
If you are currently a sole trader and you set your maximum billing amount to £14.00, we can only take a payment from your account of £14.00 per month. When you take on another member of staff you will move to the next licence band (£33.00) and we will need to upgrade your account. If you have set your maximum to £14.00 we will not be able to upgrade your account automatically so we will ask you to either

(a) adjust your agreement in PayPal (to £33.00 or higher) or (if you don’t have paypal account) |

(b) subscribe once more to our service setting a new maximum level of £33.00 or higher. |
You can avoid this problem by setting your maximum amount to an amount higher than £14.00 initially which will authorise us to upgrade you automatically when required.
Example 2
If you are a pet sitting business with 5 employees, your cost to use Pet Sitter Plus is £33.00 per month. In this case you must set your maximum amount to either £33.00 or higher. If you set your maximum amount to £14.00, we will not be authorised to take your monthly payment.
If you set your initial maximum amount higher than £33.00 this will enable us to upgrade you to the next license band automatically when required.
Do I need a PayPal account?
You don’t need to have a PayPal account to setup a billing agreement with Pet Software.
Simply choose your maximum billing level, click the “automatic billing” logo. On the next screen you will be asked to login to your paypal account but underneath you will see the words “Don’t have a PayPal account? Pay using your credit or debit card” . Click on the words “credit and debit card” and follow the instructions.
I have set my maximum billing level too low – can I change it?
Yes you can.
The agreement that you set up with Pet Software can be found in your PayPal account. You can adjust the existing agreement to increase the maximum billing limit. To do this follow these instructions;

Login to your paypal account.

Select “History” under the “Account” tab.

Select “More Filters > Subscriptions and agreements > Recurring Payments > My Profiles.
Your agreement to pay Pet Software should now be displayed. If it isn’t – make sure your date range is set correctly to include the month you set the payment agreement up in.

Click on the agreement and change the maximum billing limit to the new required limit.
If you cannot find your agreement in your PayPal account you can create a new agreement with Pet Software by going through the signup process on this page a second time setting a new maximum.
If you paid with a credit / debit card because you don’t have a PayPal account you can re-sign a new agreement with us by going through the signup process on this page a second time setting a new maximum.
