What currencies does Pet Sitter Plus support?
Pet Sitter Plus will support any single currency of your choice. The currency is a global setting. To change or set your currency go to Admin > Invoicing. Here you will find the Currency format field. Choose your required currency from the drop down.

What date formats does Pet Sitter Plus support?
The date format in petsitter+ is user definable. Go to Admin > Invoicing and select your date format from the drop down. This global date format affects the presentation of dates throughout the system and in reports and PDF invoices.

Does Pet Sitter Plus support USA Sales Tax?
Yes – Pet Sitter Plus has an accounts receivable module which will produce invoices containing sales tax (if required). The rate of sales tax can be set on the client record and sales tax liability reports are available.

Does Pet Sitter Plus support Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax)?
Yes – Pet Sitter Plus has an accounts receivable module which produces GST invoices and GST liability reports.

Does Pet Sitter Plus support UK VAT?
Yes – Pet Sitter Plus has an accounts receivable module which produces VAT invoices and VAT liability reports.

What type of pet sitting company is Pet Sitter Plus suitable for?
If your company is involved in;
- walking dogs in either a group or one at a time,
- the operation of a kennel or home boarding establishment,
- the feeding and care of other peoples animals in their home while they are away (home visits),
- staying in other people houses when they are away (home sitting),
- the provision of livery or equestrian support serices,
then Pet Sitter Plus is recommended for you.

What countries do you operate in?
Pet Sitter Plus from Pet Software Ltd is a web based software application and is therefore available to anyone who has access to the web anywhere in the world. However, the product is provided “as is” and has some limitations which might make it unsuitable in your particular country for example Pet Sitter Plus is available in English and does not currently support any other language. Any support you receive either written or verbal will be in English. It’s free for 30 days so by all means give it a try!

Where is your support based?
Pet Software Limited is based in the UK as is its support function. Support is available from 9:00am to 8:00pm UTC Dublin Edinburgh, Lisbon, London. We aim to provide local support for other countries as demand increases.

Do you provide Phone Support?
Phone support is available in the UK but is limited by time zone for other countries. You can always get through to us with a support question via email and we aim to respond in a timely fashion at all times.

How do I install Pet Sitter Plus?
All you need to access Pet Sitter Plus is a unique website address or URL (which we provide) and a login name and a password which you must not share with anyone. There is no software to install and no technical skills required.

What browser should I use?
Pet Sitter Plus has been developed to support Google Chrome which, if you don’t already use chrome, you can install to use exclusively to run Pet Sitter Plus. Google Chrome will work alongside any browser you currently use and is available for the Mac.

Who owns my data?
You do. A full system backup facility is available (along with full system restore) which means that you can download a full copy of your database to your local hard drive in seconds and restore to previous backups (moments in time) if required. Your backup contains everything that is in your database.

Where do you store my data?
Pet Sitter Plus is hosted on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (see http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/) one of the safest and most reliable on-line hosting environments commercially available.

I use an accounting system for expense management; do I need to double post my invoices to my accounting system?
No – you can if you want to but this is not required. Pet Sitter Plus full accounts receivable module built in that provides aged debt analysis, advanced credit control functions, account statements and Sales Tax / VAT analysis. Due to the advanced functionality within Pet Sitter Plus you only have to post day / week or even month totals of cash received to balance your expense management system to Pet Sitter Plus. This is a great advantage over other systems and a huge time saving.

Can I buy a copy of Pet Sitter Plus so that I don’t have to pay monthly?
Pet Sitter Plus is a cloud based software application and cannot be downloaded. There is no option to purchase Pet Sitter Plus outright other than to subscribe to use it monthly. It is not available on download, CD or DVD and cannot be purchased from high street stores.

If I sign up, will I be held to any kind of minimum term?
The contract term is one calendar month. You can cancel your subscription at any time without penalty. Payment for the contract term of one calendar month is due at the beginning of the term. If you cancel at any time during the current period your contract with Pet Software will end at the end of that period.

How can I pay?
You can pay for your subscription using a valid credit or debit card. When you sign up to use Pet Sitter Plus you will be asked to provide your card payment details. We hold your details on our secure server and at the end of any free trial period (during which you can cancel at any time without penalty) you will receive an invoice from us, showing all the charges (in advance) for the new contract period of one calendar month. We will already have processed your payment so the invoice you receive will have been paid.

What happens if I take on more pet sitters and go into the next pricing band?
Your subscription will be adjusted automatically on the next billing cycle. In this way, if your staffing levels rise and fall with the seasons, so too will your software costs.

What if I have lots of registered sitters but half are inactive in the low season?
You only pay for sitters that are active. For example, you could have 50 sitters registered with your business but if only 10 have work scheduled in any given billing cycle then you only pay for 10.

What happens if I don’t pay my subscription?
If you don’t pay we will write to you asking if you want to continue with your subscription. If we don’t hear from you within 10 days your database will be taken offline and you will no longer have access to it. Your access will be restored immediately on receipt of payment of your subscription.
